Patients and Visitors

Visiting hospitals and facilities

Visiting hospitals and facilities

  • Visiting hours are 10am-1pm and 4-8pm.

  • In most cases, patients can have up to 2 visitors during visiting hours for any length of time, except in high-risk areas.

  • While you are visiting the hospital please keep in mind that certain wards require specific access to ensure the safety of our patients. These wards will have a sign notifying you to use the intercom so that staff can allow access.

  • Please consider contacting the hospital or ward on 3810 1111 before leaving home as visiting hours, or the number of visitors, may vary.

Don't visit if you're unwell

To help keep our patients and staff healthy, please don't visit if you have an infectious condition such as:

  • a cough or cold

  • diarrhoea or vomiting.

Keep your hands clean

When you’re visiting someone in hospital, make sure you clean your hands using soap and water or a hand sanitiser.

You need to do this when you enter or leave a patient’s room or other areas of the hospital.

Thank you for your support in keeping patients, staff and our community safe.
